Our services are free for all alumni. Please create an account in Handshake and schedule an appointment to meet with a Career Coach for assistance.
University Email
Computing Services and Systems Development allows for graduating students to have an alumni account that will enable them to keep their My Pitt Email mailbox for as long as they like. They will be able to send and receive email messages from their username@pitt.edu email address, as well as from any email aliases they created while a student at Pitt. Use your university email to schedule appointments with career counselors and inquire about any upcoming events.
Mock Interviewing
We offer interview practice to prepare for upcoming interviews.
Students meet with our counselors and we provide a real-life interview setting. The interview is recorded so students can watch themselves and gain feedback.
Vocational Interest Assessments
Interest inventories are offered to students wishing to have a profile of their interests. We administer the "Strong Interest Inventory" and/or "Myers-Briggs Type Indicator" and other personal assessments.
Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI):
A self-assessment to give students an idea about their personalities. This assessment helps students determine which career path might best match their personality. Any student wishing to take this assessment can contact the office for additional instructions.
