University of Pittsburgh-Johnstown

Congratulations, Class of 2025!  We are excited to celebrate you and your accomplishments.

The 2025 Pitt-Johnstown Commencement Ceremony will be held at the Sports Center on Saturday, May 3rd at 1:00 p.m.

December 2024, April 2025, June 2025, and August 2025 graduates are eligible to participate in this ceremony.  All students graduating must first officially apply to graduate through the Registrar's Office.  This is a separate process from the Commencement Ceremony.

Graduates wishing to participate in the 2025 Commencement Ceremony will be required to RSVP.

In early February, graduates with approved graduation applications will receive an email in their Pitt email account with more information regarding the ceremony.

  •
Graduate Regalia
  • Graduates participating in the ceremony must wear official academic regalia (caps, gowns, tassels) purchased through the Pitt-Johnstown Book Center.
  • More information to come regarding regalia.
  • Book Center representatives will be on-site at the ceremony to assist with any regalia issues or concerns.
  • The tassel is to be worn on the graduate’s RIGHT side of the cap during the processional.
  • Caps are to be worn parallel to the floor, not at an angle.
  • Grads are welcome to decorate their caps, but all content must be appropriate for this academic ceremony.
