Theater faculty member F.J. Hartland's volume of work is prolific. In June, his monologue "Waning Gibbous" was selected as the winner of the Second Annual Monologue Contest at Talking Horse Theatre in Missouri. Out of 24 finalists, his script won. In August his ten-minute play "For the Record..." was performed at the Open Eye Theatre in upstate New York. Of 245 entries, he was one of the eight chosen for production.
This month, he had two productions. A California-based group called "Hey Playwright" did a ZOOM production of tennis plays to run during the US Open. His play "What's Love Got to Do With It?" was one of five plays performed.
