Snow Removal

Winter weather has definitely made its presence known on campus!  With the snow that has fallen over the past several days, our campus grounds crew is working to ensure parking lots are cleared prior to the start of classes each day.  They are also focusing on ensuring there is plenty of parking for our resident students.

To achieve this, resident student vehicles will need to be removed from the following parking lots by 7 p.m., Wednesday, January 22 (please refer to the color-coded parking map for exact locations):

  • Living-Learning Center (gold and gray lots)
  • Townhouses (gold lots)
  • Biddle Hall (blue lot)

Please relocate your vehicle to any of the lots that appear in purple on the map.  Vehicles not moved by this deadline will prevent our crews from properly clearing the lots and risk being surrounded by additional snow from the plowing of the lot.  Vehicles can be returned to these lots after 3 p.m. on Thursday, January 23.

Please also remember the following parking guidelines, which are in effect all year:

  1. There is no overnight parking in the lot adjacent to the Nursing and Health Sciences Building.
  2. There is no student parking in the employee parking lot near Biddle-Oak-Willow.
  3. No parking is permitted (even short-term) in areas designated as fire lanes.
  4. Parking is not permitted in snow removal spaces.
  5. You must have a disability parking permit in order to park in any space designated as disabled parking.
  6. Vehicles are not permitted on the sidewalks.

We appreciate your compliance with these restrictions as it will help to make our Grounds Crew team's already-challenging jobs easier…and will ultimately make the campus safer and more accessible to everyone.
