Forty-eight hours after your tuition deposit has been processed, you will receive instructions on activating your PITT.edu email address. From this point forward, all University emails will be sent to this address.

Here are some things to do in the spring!

ATTEND ADMITTED STUDENT DAY

Admitted Student Days/Senior Division Days are a great way to connect with faculty, staff, and especially other Future Mountain Cats. Who knows, you may meet your future roommates.

ALEKS MATH PLACEMENT ASSESSMENT

An important part of the Pre-Registration process, the ALEKS Math Placement Assessment ensures that you are scheduled for the math course that best fits your abilities and academic program.

HOUSING APPLICATION & PITT EATS MEAL PLAN

Mapel, Oak, Hemlock, Hickory, or Laurel? Which first-year residence hall will you call home? Submit your $150 housing deposit, and our roommate match system will help you find the best fit and maybe a lifelong friend. Commuting to campus? Our First-Year Residence Halls have “commuter spaces” for relaxing between classes.

STUDENT HEALTH CENTER DOCUMENTS

Your health and well-being are our number one priority. Please ensure that your Student Health Center information is up to date, including your Covid-19 proof of vaccination or waiver request.

ONLINE ORIENTATION

A lively, interactive self-guided online orientation that you can complete at your own pace. It’s a great introduction to the resources available to make your Pitt-Johnstown experience outstanding!

Here are some things to do late spring/summer!

MOUNTAIN CAT STUDENT ID

Make it a good one! Upload your photo at www.pc.pitt.edu/panther-card. Your Mountain Cat Card identifies you as a member of the Pitt-Johnstown Community and provides access to on-campus resources and discounts at many “Pitt-Stop” restaurants and retailers in the Johnstown area.

SUBMIT AP SCORES AND COLLEGE TRANSCRIPTS

Have college credits you’d like to have considered for transfer to Pitt-Johnstown? Contact the Registrar’s Office at all colleges/universities that you have attended and request that final, official transcripts be sent to upjadmit@pitt.edu. AP Exam scores can be emailed to upjreg@pitt.edu.

ATTEND ACADEMIC PLANNING DAY

Academic Planning Days (APDs) are a Pitt-Johnstown Tradition. Meet faculty, staff, and other current and future Mountain Cats. Your APD will include information on academic, social, and personal resources and the opportunity to review and discuss your fall class schedule.

REVIEW YOUR PITT PAY ACCOUNT

Pitt-Pay on my.pitt.edu is your online resource for reviewing account balances and making tuition, housing, and other payments.

REGISTER YOUR VEHICLE

Yes! You can have a car on campus your first year! But all vehicles must be registered. Be on the lookout for a registration email from University Police.

MOVE-IN DAY, NEW STUDENT ORIENTATION & WELCOME WEEK

Another Pitt-Johnstown tradition and our second favorite time of the year! Pitt-Johnstown Residence Life staff and others will be on hand to make your move-in process as smooth as possible. New Student Orientation and Welcome Week will introduce (or reintroduce) you to campus and the people and programs that make Pitt-Johnstown a special place.
